What is Experts by Experience?

Experts by Experience is an opportunity for autistic people or people with a learning disability (and their parent/carers) to influence decision-making and have a say on new services and strategies that impact disabled people. You could be involved with designing, reviewing, and evaluating different services, as well as supporting with recruitment.

This opportunity is open to anyone who lives in Coventry or Warwickshire and is autistic or has a learning disability or is a parent/carer of someone who is autistic or has a learning disability. The topics covered will vary, and will include developing work on:

• The Transforming Care Programme
• The NHS Long Term Plan
• Specialist services
• Housing and residential support
• Social care services and support, including support in the day, in your home, and respite services
• Healthcare services and hospital stays

This is not a full-time position and will involve ad-hoc working hours.

The hours will vary dependent on your availability and the requirements of the project. Some of these opportunities are paid.
