Supporting Independent Living in Warwickshire

Equipment to help you live at home can range from a simple walking stick to a more complex item like a mobile hoist.

Healthwatch Warwickshire is involved in several research projects across the region. Our involvement focusses on ensuring that the perspective of patients is taken into account.

For the weeks beginning Monday, 22nd December and Monday, 29th December, there will be minimal cover at Healthwatch Warwickshire. We will respond to messages as soon as we can, but this may be after we reopen on Monday, 5th January 2026.

You can register if you are 18+ and have an upcoming appointment.

On Thursday 14th November we held our Annual General meeting online via Zoom. The agenda for our AGM included an overview of our Annual Report from 2023 to 2024, as well as HWW’s Financial Report and appointment of auditors.

In July 2024, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care commissioned Lord Darzi to conduct an immediate and independent investigation of the NHS. The review was published on Thursday 12 September.

Lord Darzi wrote a letter to the Secretary of Sate to accompany his review. The letter includes a summary of Lord Darzi's 28 findings and reported "Nothing that I have found draws into question the principles of a health service that is taxpayer funded, free at the point of use, and based on need not ability to pay".
