How feedback on Adult Social Care Services in Warwickshire can make a difference.

In April 2023 we held an online event for residents of Warwickshire who use Adult Social Care Services, or care for someone who does.

We also heard from people through feedback received from our engagement and outreach activities, through our website and over the phone.

The (online) discussion was attended by nine residents and gave them an opportunity to share their experiences of receiving support from adult social care services.

An anonymised report, summarising the discussion went to the Service Development and Assurance Team for Adult Social Care at Warwickshire County Council, who shared it with the senior management team. The report is being used to inform service development and improvement work

The people who attended the focus group have been updated, on how their feedback is informing improvements, and were also offered help with their individual situations.

One example of where this feedback has made a difference is in the information given on paying for adult social care. The Finance Team requested feedback and used this to improve the information they provide. Where they did not make any changes they gave detailed explanations as to why.

We are now working together on a twelve-month pilot, during which we will share the feedback we receive on Adult Social Care (anonymously) so Warwickshire County Council Service Development and Assurance Team can understand where people are finding things challenging and support making improvements that will make a difference.

We have submitted our first report and the senior management team have met and discussed the feedback. This is an ongoing piece of work that we will update you on here as things progress.

Please keep giving us your feedback on adult social care; it really can make a difference.
