About this event

HOPE programme for Long Covid and other long term health conditions

The Hope Programme is a safe online space for people struggling with Long Covid and other long-term health conditions, people who are battling ongoing symptoms that impact on their physical and mental health.

The digital self-management course is based on positive psychology, mindfulness and cognitive behavioural therapy. Built on 20 years of research evidence from Coventry University, it brings together people with similar needs and experiences in a safe space.

How does it work?

  • The programme is delivered on an online platform, people can dip in and out when they want to.
  • It takes about 2 hours to go through each weekly session, but they can do this at their own pace, at a time that suits them.

What’s in the course?

  • The programme has 8 sessions and focuses on the individual, offering content and activities for them to try to help build and improve their wellbeing.
  • People who complete 4 or more sessions report that they feel more relaxed and are better able to deal with their symptoms & stress..
  • It has been co-designed with health professionals and individuals with experience of Covid and respiratory issues
  • They can share as much or as little as they want and can be completely anonymous.
  • The course features an ‘ask the expert’ webinar where participants can ask specific symptom or treatment related questions
