Karen Higgins

Karen Higgins

Karen Higgins –  Operations Manager/Deputy CEO

Karen joined Health watch in October 2016 as Operations Manager/Deputy CEO, providing support to Chris and the staff team.

Karen is an experienced senior manager, having worked in the public, charity and corporate sectors, with a focus and interest in helping people lead better lives.

More recently she has worked with Benevolent Funds for professional institutions (RICS and ICAEW) building partnerships and focusing on developing and improving engagement with members.

Jennie Day – Finance and Governance Manager

Before joining Healthwatch Warwickshire, Jennie worked at Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service across two departments.  Jennie has a background in administrative roles, and has varied experience working in schools, offices and several customer facing roles.

In her spare time, Jennie trains in Tae Kwon Do.  She is currently a 3rd Degree Black Belt.

Jennie joined the team at Healthwatch Warwickshire in May 2013 as Central Coordinator.  Since then, her role has developed and she is now responsible for the finance and governance of the organisation.

Robyn Dorling – PA to Chief Executive/Chair of the Board

I joined Healthwatch Warwickshire as part time Administrative Assistant in May 2014 and have now taken on the role of PA to Chief Executive and Chair of the Board.  My role as PA is diverse and includes being responsible for Board Administration as well as providing a comprehensive secretarial and administration service to the Chief Executive and Chair across the range of their work for Healthwatch.

I have spent much of my life living in London and studied Social Anthropology and Sociology at Goldsmith’s University, before working for Camden and Islington Community Team for Adults with Learning Disabilities. I have knowledge and working experience of learning disabilities, acquired brain injury, mental health problems, autism and Diabetes.

Michelle Williamson – Enter and View

Michelle is currently on maternity leave until July 2017

Michelle joined Healthwatch Warwickshire in June 2014 as Volunteer Trainer. Michelle’s background is rooted within communities, working with vulnerable people to help improve their lives through delivering one to one support and group training activities. Michelle has worked in both the Voluntary and Public Sectors including roles in immigration, community fire safety, volunteer management and, most recently, financial capability.

Michelle will be focusing on volunteer recruitment and training for Healthwatch Warwickshire, especially from those groups who are seldom heard within the community. Michelle will be leading on the Enter & View programme.
