Making health and social care services work better, for everyone

Healthwatch Warwickshire and Healthwatch Coventry have published a Good Engagement Charter setting good practice for when patients, carers and members of the public are asked to give their views, or get involved in their services.

Engagement can be anything from having conversations with people about their experiences of using services, to surveys, consultations, and involvement in service redesign.

We have received comments that people sometimes find that engagement is not meaningful for them. Therefore we looked into this further and researchers gathered the experiences of engagement and views on good practice from 271 local people through a survey, interviews and focus groups.
