Making health and social care services work better, for everyone

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is trialling a culturally adapted therapy for people from a Sub-Saharan African, Caribbean, Black British or Mixed Heritage background with psychosis and they would like people from these backgrounds to take part in a focus group giving their views on the therapy. The focus groups will be held at the Welcome Centre in Coventry, hopefully in February of this year, and the participants will be paid reasonable travel expenses plus £10 per hour for attending. They require people with schizophrenia or schizo-affective disorder although they do not currently have to be in services. They do not require people with bipolar disorder or psychotic depression.

They are also holding another focus group for carers, friends or relatives of the client group described above who do not have to be from any particular racial heritage. They could also just be advocates. They too will be paid expenses and a participation fee. This focus group will also be held in February.
