Making health and social care services work better, for everyone

Correct as of 05/06/2020, Warwickshire County Council have now dropped the use of the ‘Care act easements‘. They have stated:

Currently in Warwickshire we are able to meet our duties under the Care Act.

This means that we no longer need to take some of the measures we were taking (referred to as easements) to streamline and prioritise our work.

We are carrying out full Care Act assessments and our providers are able to offer the care and support that people need.

Here is a summary of some of the current changes to Social Care in Warwickshire:

  • Some day centres and support groups have had to close to observe social distancing rules but this is not part of the easements
  • A lot of work is being done by telephone and video calls

You can find more information on the Care Act Easements and what they mean in Warwickshire here.

If you need to contact someone about your care you can get in touch with the council in the normal way. If you have a worker contact them or if you don’t then contact the Customer Service Centre on 01926 410410.
