Making health and social care services work better, for everyone

NHS England is asking for public feedback for a consultation regarding the prescribing of over-the-counter medicines for 33 minor, short-term health concerns.  It is proposed to remove medications for certain conditions from the list of items that can be prescribed by the NHS, including:

  • dry eyes
  • cold sores
  • threadworms
  • moderate hay fever
  • conjunctivitis
  • infant colic
  • and 27 other conditions

You can see more details here and give your feedback: more details and give feedback online

Or there are face-to-face events scheduled, where you can have your say in person, including a public meeting in Birmingham on 9th February 2-4pm.
